Snapp Tool
Our Story
Snapp Tool& Die, Inc. was founded in 1985 by Gregory Snapp. Long before he started Snapp Tool at the age of 18 he worked in an electric motor plant in Garrett, Indiana. Later he went on to build custom equipment for manufacturing gas control valves for the appliance industry. He quickly moved up to a management positionand was relocated to El Paso, Texas where he was a plant manager in Juarez, Mexico for an American based company. With the encouragement of a silent partner, who owned and operated a very large company that manufactured wire harnesses for the American automotive industry, Gregory opened Snapp Tool& Die, Inc. at the age of 36, to help support his partner’s manufacturing efforts. Within 5 years, Gregory was able to buy out his silent partner, and eventually expanded into other industries such as aerospace, medical, telecom, and more. His goal was to diversify in order to provide high quality CNC machining to a wider variety of clients.
After 1985
Gregory passed on his vast knowledge of production machining and management to his son Todd, who has been with Snapp Tool since the beginning in 1985. Today Todd is not only a highly skilled machinist, he is Vice Presidentof Snapp Tool & Die, Inc. Gregory’s daughter Lori moved back to El Paso, Texas from California in 2004 to join the family business. She brought her many years of experience in customer service, management, and business finance. Today Todd and Lori co-own and operate Snapp Tool & Die, Inc.
